Checkout Policy

Payment, deposit, checkout, and order terms for RiskTaker builds, parts, and race platform products.

Please review this checkout policy before paying a build reservation deposit, ordering parts, purchasing digital products, or making production payments. This page explains how RiskTaker handles checkout expectations, quote review, payment timing, and customer responsibilities.

This page is provided for customer clarity and should be reviewed with qualified legal counsel as needed. RiskTaker may update checkout terms as products, processes, laws, or business requirements change.

Section 02

What This Checkout Policy Covers

This checkout policy applies to RiskTaker website payments, build reservation deposits, parts orders, digital product purchases, and production-related payments made through RiskTaker’s website or approved payment process.

Different product types may have different checkout expectations. A $500 build reservation deposit is not the same as a final production payment, parts order, freight payment, or digital plan purchase.

Section 2.5

Checkout Acknowledgment

Before completing checkout, customers may be required to acknowledge that RiskTaker products are intended for closed-course racing and off-road competition use only.

Suggested Acknowledgment Language

“I understand that RiskTaker products are manufactured and sold for closed-course racing and off-road competition use only. I acknowledge that RiskTaker products are not manufactured, certified, or sold for public street, road, or highway use, and I accept the applicable checkout terms, policies, and customer responsibilities.”

Note: The actual checkout acknowledgment, checkbox wording, and checkout flow may be updated as RiskTaker policies and processes evolve.

Section 03

Build Reservation Deposits

RiskTaker may require a $500 build reservation deposit to reserve an approved build slot or continue the build review process.

The $500 build reservation deposit may be refundable if RiskTaker and the customer cannot agree on final scope, pricing, or timeline. Non-recoverable payment processing fees may apply.

A build reservation deposit does not guarantee final pricing, production acceptance, delivery timeline, or final build approval by itself. Final pricing, scope, availability, and production timing are confirmed during quote review before production begins.

Section 04

Quote Review Before Production

Configurator pricing, website pricing, and preliminary estimates are intended to help customers understand selected options and possible build cost. Final pricing may change based on material costs, availability, custom requests, customer-supplied components, shipping or pickup requirements, and quote review.

Production does not begin until RiskTaker and the customer confirm the final scope, pricing, payment schedule, and next steps.

RiskTaker may request clarification, revise a quote, decline a build request, or recommend a different platform or build level before production acceptance.

Section 05

Production Payments & Custom Orders

Once the customer approves the final quote/build scope and additional production payments are made, payments are generally non-refundable due to custom materials, scheduling, fabrication labor, supplier commitments, outsourced services, and made-to-order production.

Custom builds, chassis packages, rollers, race rollers, complete race vehicles, special-order parts, and made-to-order components may involve non-cancelable material purchases and reserved production time.

Rare exceptions may be reviewed at RiskTaker’s discretion based on the status of the build, work performed, materials purchased, supplier commitments, and whether components can reasonably be reused.

Section 06b

Engine Sourcing & Customer-Supplied Engines

RiskTaker does not manufacture or rebuild engines. If RiskTaker helps source an engine for a build, that engine may be used, and its internal condition, history, mileage/hours, maintenance history, compression, electronics, sensors, and included accessories may be unknown unless specifically documented by the seller.

RiskTaker may help inspect, review, or evaluate an engine as part of a build, but cannot guarantee the condition, performance, lifespan, completeness, or suitability of any used engine supplied by a customer or by a third-party seller.

Customers are welcome and encouraged to supply their preferred engine. Customer-supplied engines should include all components required for the build — including wiring, ECU, throttle bodies, sensors, headers and exhaust components, cooling components, charging components, and any model-specific parts needed for installation — unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Missing components, damaged parts, custom fitment issues, diagnostic work, repair work, wiring work, engine-mount changes, fabrication changes, and additional labor may result in added parts and labor charges, which will be communicated before work proceeds whenever possible.

Section 06

Parts Orders & Fitment Responsibility

RiskTaker replacement and service parts are intended for RiskTaker platforms and race vehicle applications unless specifically stated otherwise.

Customers are responsible for confirming fitment before ordering. If a customer is unsure which part is needed, they should use the Parts Help form before purchase.

Parts availability may vary by platform, production schedule, current inventory, supplier availability, and whether a part is made-to-order.

RiskTaker does not guarantee compatibility with non-RiskTaker vehicles, custom third-party builds, or modified vehicles unless confirmed in writing.

Section 07

Digital Plans & Downloadable Products

Digital plans, design files, downloadable products, and other electronic materials may be delivered immediately or through a controlled access process.

Because digital products can be accessed, copied, or downloaded after purchase, refund eligibility may be limited once access has been granted or files have been delivered.

Digital plans and design files are for the purchasing customer’s authorized use only and may not be copied, resold, redistributed, shared publicly, or used to manufacture products for unauthorized commercial sale without written permission from RiskTaker.

Section 08

Payment Processing Fees

Payment processors, credit card companies, financing providers, and online checkout systems may charge processing fees that are not recoverable by RiskTaker.

If a refund is approved, non-recoverable payment processing fees, financing fees, transaction fees, or chargeback-related costs may be deducted when applicable.

Section 09

Shipping, Freight, Pickup & Delivery

Shipping, freight, crate costs, pickup arrangements, and delivery timing vary by product type, size, weight, location, carrier availability, and build status.

Large chassis, rollers, complete race vehicles, and oversized parts may require freight shipping, custom crating, customer pickup, or special arrangements.

Shipping quotes, freight timing, pickup timing, and delivery estimates are not guaranteed until confirmed. Customer is responsible for reviewing shipping details, delivery access, receiving requirements, and inspection upon arrival.

Section 10

Order Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Order changes, cancellations, and refunds depend on the type of product or payment, the stage of the build or order, work already performed, materials purchased, supplier commitments, and whether components can reasonably be reused.

A build reservation deposit may be refundable if RiskTaker and the customer cannot agree on final scope, pricing, or timeline. Non-recoverable processing fees may apply.

After final quote approval and production payments, refunds are generally not available except under rare circumstances reviewed by RiskTaker.

For parts or product orders, customers should contact RiskTaker as soon as possible if there is an issue with fitment, order accuracy, damage, or fulfillment.

Section 11

Racing & Off-Road Use Only

All RiskTaker vehicles, chassis, rollers, complete race vehicles, race platform components, and related products are manufactured and sold for closed-course racing and off-road competition use only.

Not manufactured for use on public streets, roads, or highways.

RiskTaker vehicles and race platform products are not manufactured, certified, or sold for use on public streets, public roads, or highways.

Buyer is responsible for understanding and complying with all local laws, track rules, sanctioning body requirements, safety equipment requirements, and vehicle-use restrictions before operating any RiskTaker product.

Section 12

Errors, Availability & Price Changes

RiskTaker may update pricing, product descriptions, build tiers, parts availability, specifications, lead times, checkout terms, and website content as products and processes evolve.

Errors, outdated information, or omissions may occur. RiskTaker reserves the right to correct errors and confirm final pricing, availability, and specifications before accepting an order or beginning production.

Section 13

Contact Before Payment

If you have questions about deposits, checkout terms, parts fitment, digital products, shipping, freight, or build payments, contact RiskTaker before submitting payment.
